Abstract

SpaceX's Starship rocket, the largest and most powerful rocket ever built, exploded in space during its second launch attempt. Despite the failure, SpaceX considers the flight a success as it exceeded milestones from the previous test flight. If future test flights are successful, Starship could revolutionize human exploration and science in space, with the potential to deliver payloads at a lower cost than any other launch vehicle. NASA is already relying on Starship for its Artemis Moon program, and if the rocket fulfills its promise, it could have significant implications for astronomy and planetary science. However, SpaceX must first prove the reliability of its rocket and address controversies surrounding its CEO, Elon Musk. [Extracted from the article]
