Abstract

The article focuses on analyzing the skill demands for electrical engineering graduates in Kuwait's private sector by conducting a content analysis of 128 job advertisements collected from online portals in 2023. It identifies a significant gap between university curricula and employer expectations, highlighting that most jobs require a bachelor's degree with experience, emphasize technical skills such as CAD and specialized software, and value communication, management, and interpersonal skills. The study also notes limited opportunities for fresh graduates and female engineers, and recommends curriculum restructuring, enhanced soft skills training, industry partnerships, and internship programs to improve graduate employability. These findings aim to guide educational institutions, human resource consultants, and recruiters in aligning academic programs with Kuwait's evolving electrical engineering job market needs.
