Abstract

The first private spacecraft to land on the Moon, Intuitive Machines's Odysseus lander, was shut down due to dwindling power. Despite the tilt of the lander limiting the operation of its scientific instruments, all of its payloads were able to collect data. A pilot program in psychology will pay reviewers to check important published papers and preprints, with compensation for authors if their work proves reliable. A study found that more than one in 10 graduate students and postdocs in the health sciences at Harvard University experiences food insecurity, with higher rates among students of non-white or Asian race and those who were the first in their family to attend college.
