Abstract
In July 2024, the dwarf planets Pluto and Ceres will be at their best for observation. Ceres, which possesses a significant portion of the mass of the asteroid belt, can be easily seen with binoculars as it tracks westward in retrograde motion across the Sagittarius Teapot asterism. Pluto, despite its smaller size, can also be observed with amateur telescopes due to the reflective properties of its surface. Spica, the 16th-brightest star in the nighttime sky, will be occulted by the Moon on July 13th, providing an opportunity for observation in various locations across the Americas.
