Abstract
This article provides a summary of various research studies in the field of entomology. One study focuses on the phylogeny and distribution of Raphidophoridae crickets, while another explores how ingested soil bacteria can breach the gut epithelia of insects. The impact of an invasive ant species on the mutualistic relationship between lions and whistling-thorn trees in East Africa is also discussed. Other studies examine grasshopper locomotion, hemp russet mite detection, alternative diets for chickens and flies, and the economic impact of banning pesticides for drywood termites. The article also mentions the National Science Foundation's initiative to advance the bioeconomy and highlights the activities of the Entomological Society of America, including their involvement in conferences and events related to vector-borne diseases.
