Abstract
This article critically examines the future of education in Indonesia through a philosophical lens, emphasizing the need to develop inclusive, adaptive, and contextually grounded educational models that address intergenerational justice, technological disruption, and ecological challenges. It highlights Indonesia's unique archipelagic and multicultural realities, advocating for the integration of local wisdom (Muatan Lokal) alongside global competencies to foster resilience and sustainability amid rapid social and technological change. The authors discuss the transformative potential and ethical complexities of artificial intelligence (AI) in education, stressing the importance of equitable access, critical pedagogy, and digital ethics. Central to the article is the concept of axiological futurism, which frames education as a value-driven, evolving process that must balance tradition and innovation to prepare learners for uncertain futures. Ultimately, the article calls for a pluralistic, reflective, and collaborative approach to reimagining education that aligns with Indonesia's diverse cultural contexts and global sustainability goals.
