Abstract
This article focuses on Sodexo's role in catering the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games while advancing its sustainability agenda. As one of the world's largest food-services companies, Sodexo plans to serve up to 40,000 meals daily with an emphasis on eco-friendly, locally sourced ingredients and plant-based options to reduce waste and carbon emissions. Founded in 1966 with a mission to improve lives and communities, Sodexo has expanded globally and diversified its services but maintains food at its core, accounting for 64% of revenue. Under recent leadership, the company has prioritized agility, sustainability, and net-zero emissions by 2040, working closely with suppliers and clients to promote environmentally responsible consumption and production across its operations worldwide.
