Abstract
Javier Milei's election as president of Argentina is expected to boost the country's oil and gas production. His pro-free market policies aim to attract private capital and encourage investment in the oil and gas sector. Argentina has significant reserves of shale oil and gas, as well as offshore oil potential. Milei plans to sell state energy assets, deregulate the energy industry, and reduce red tape to make the sector more attractive to private investors. The government aims to increase exports and become a net energy exporter by 2030. However, Milei faces opposition from the Argentine senate, public bodies, and unions, which may require compromise to implement his policies. [Extracted from the article]
