Abstract

This text examines the concept of "green capital" and its impact on environmental movements. It argues that green capital, which promotes market-driven solutions to environmental problems, perpetuates capitalist interests and deepens inequality. The text explores the historical roots of green capital, including the Green Revolution and governmental interventions in environmental issues. It also discusses the relationship between indigenous environmental justice and radical environmentalism, as well as the struggle against biocolonialism and the commodification of life processes. The text concludes by advocating for an anticapitalist framework and a radical environmental movement that addresses the interconnectedness of social and ecological issues.
