Abstract
The article discusses the Environmental Protection Agency's repeal of its "endangerment finding," a key element of its climate regulations, which the Trump Administration presented as beneficial for American industry. This repeal is characterized as an ideological move that may lead to confusion in the marketplace and an increase in lawsuits, as states may attempt to fill the regulatory gap. The endangerment finding originated from a Supreme Court ruling in the early 2000s, which mandated the EPA to assess the health impacts of climate change, leading to significant regulations aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The article suggests that while the repeal disrupts existing climate efforts, it also opens the door for new approaches to climate policy in the future. [Extracted from the article]
