Abstract

The article focuses on a public dispute between progressive Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) and Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein. Ocasio-Cortez criticized Stein and the Green Party for lacking serious leadership and failing to build lasting political power beyond presidential campaigns, describing their efforts as "predatory." Stein responded by accusing Democrats, including AOC, of supporting "genocide" due to their stance on the Israel-Hamas conflict and criticized the Democratic Party for using tactics that limit third-party ballot access. The Green Party, which has never won federal office and holds about 244,000 registered members, faces significant challenges in gaining electoral traction amid a polarized political environment.
