Abstract
The Haukadalur geothermal area in Iceland has seen a sudden increase in geyser activity, with dormant geysers erupting up to two meters. The popular tourist attraction, located east of Reykjavik, has experienced unusual behavior from its main geyser, Strokkur, which is now erupting more frequently. Experts are unsure of the cause but speculate that it may be related to lower groundwater levels. This event is separate from recent volcanic activity in Iceland's southwest.
