Abstract
The article focuses on the recent celebration of the Klamath River's restoration following the demolition of hydroelectric dams that had blocked salmon runs for over a century. In a monthlong event organized by the nonprofit Rios to Rivers, Indigenous youths, including members of the Yurok Tribe, kayaked the 310-mile length of the river to honor the efforts of those who fought for a free-flowing river. The journey symbolizes a significant cultural and environmental milestone for the Indigenous communities in the region. [Extracted from the article]
