Abstract
The article discusses a book called "Arc of the Journeyman: Afghan Migrants in England" by Khan, which explores the experiences of Pashtun-Afghan migrant taxi drivers in the United Kingdom and Pakistan. The book aims to provide fresh perspectives on Afghan migration by examining the diverse forms of language, history, and identity that shape these experiences. It challenges conventional narratives of migration and highlights the complexities and ambivalences faced by migrants. While the book focuses on Pashtun-Afghan drivers, it could have benefited from comparisons with other migrant communities and a broader contextualization of the Afghan taxi-driving economy.
