Abstract
The article focuses on the innovative use of drones to assist in cleaning Mount Everest, which has become increasingly littered with trash due to the rise in climbing popularity since the 1990s. Sherpas traditionally carried waste down the mountain, but during the recent climbing season, drones from SZ DJI Technology Co. significantly expedited this process, transporting over 280 kilograms of refuse from high-altitude camps to base camp. The initiative aims to address the environmental impact of garbage, including human waste, while also enhancing the safety of Sherpas navigating treacherous terrain. Despite the benefits, challenges remain, such as the drones' inability to reach higher camps and the need for specialized insurance for the operation. [Extracted from the article]
