Abstract
The article focuses on the growing trend of non-Muslims, such as Alexander Sless, participating in Ramadan fasting, despite not being adherents of Islam. Sless, an agnostic originally from Israel, began fasting in 2021 after a friend's suggestion and has continued to do so, appreciating the discipline it brings. Many non-Muslims are engaging in Ramadan for various reasons, including personal growth, support for Muslim friends, or cultural curiosity, which presents an opportunity for greater understanding of Islamic traditions. While some criticism exists regarding cultural appropriation, many Muslims view this participation positively, as it may foster familiarity and reduce anti-Muslim sentiment.
