Abstract

The article discusses the film "Dr. Mabuse, der Spieler" (Dr. Mabuse, the Gambler" and its exclusionary aesthetics and modernist primitivism. Also cited are the works of the film's director Fritz Lang like "Das Wandernde Bild" (Madonna in the Snow) and "Der Mude Tod" (Destiny), and the collaboration between Lang and screenwriter Thea von Harbou in the film "Dr. Mabuse, der Spieler."
