Abstract
Alfonso Cuarón, the Oscar-winning filmmaker, has created his first TV miniseries, an adaptation of Renée Knight's psychological thriller Disclaimer. The series, streaming on Apple TV+, explores themes of loneliness, the stories we construct about our own lives, and the manipulation of narratives by individuals and societies. Cate Blanchett stars as Catherine Ravenscroft, a successful filmmaker who receives a package containing a novel that mirrors events from her past. Cuarón's approach to storytelling is elegant, suspenseful, and compassionate, and he collaborated closely with Blanchett and other actors throughout the production. [Extracted from the article]
