Abstract
The article discusses the controversy surrounding the authorship of the film "The Lady Vanishes" directed by Alfred Hitchcock. It mentions the film was based on a script titled "Lost Lady" written by Frank Launder and Sidney Gilliat, but Hitchcock claimed credit for much of the script, and despite the evidence pointing to Launder and Gilliat's significant contribution to the script, Hitchcock successfully promoted himself as the sole creative force behind the film.
