Abstract
This study examines the relationship between tourist engagement and subjective well-being in film tourism, focusing on Taiwanese tourists visiting South Korea, with memorable tourism experiences (MTEs) as a mediating factor. Using structural equation modeling on survey data from 424 participants, the research found that higher tourist engagement positively influences both the creation of MTEs and tourists' subjective well-being, while MTEs themselves also enhance well-being. Furthermore, MTEs partially mediate the effect of tourist engagement on subjective well-being, suggesting that engaging film tourism experiences contribute to lasting positive emotional outcomes. The findings offer theoretical insights into posttravel emotional effects in film tourism and practical guidance for destination managers to design immersive, memorable experiences that promote visitor well-being.
