Abstract
The article discusses the concept of death and our struggle to understand and accept it. It explores the belief that our organs are meant to work indefinitely and that we are designed to live forever, which is a driving force behind the transhumanism movement. The author examines the difficulty of thinking about death and how our fear of death shapes our lives. The article also references Leo Tolstoy's exploration of death in his writing, particularly in "The Death of Ivan Ilyich," and Ingmar Bergman's portrayal of death in "The Seventh Seal." Ultimately, the article suggests that the most important thing is not the fact of death, but how we face it and what we gain from the process. [Extracted from the article]
