Abstract
The article focuses on the drownings of 14 Guatemalan and Honduran H-2 visa guest workers on September 12, 2002, in the Allagash Wilderness Waterway in northern Maine. The author discusses the increase in Latino forestry workers at the time of the accident and examines how capitalist and corporate forces work to erase memory.
