Abstract

The article focuses on a global meta-analysis of the impacts of invasive species on terrestrial ecosystems, which underwent a significant correction after inconsistencies in the data were identified. The number of studies included in the analysis decreased from 775 to 628, and the total effect sizes were revised from 2223 to 1778, with updates reflecting the exclusion of studies that misclassified species or involved native encroachers. Despite these adjustments, the overall conclusions regarding the effects of invasive plants and animals on ecosystem properties remained largely unchanged, although some specific relationships were modified. The article also details the corrections made to figures and supplementary materials to align with the updated dataset. [Extracted from the article]
