Abstract

This document is a summary of a legal case involving a copyright infringement dispute between Zuoshang Mingshe Homeware (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Beijing Zhongrong Hengsheng Wood Industry Co., Ltd. and Nanjing Mengyang Furniture Distribution Center. Zuoshang Mingshe Company claimed that the defendants had infringed on their reproduction and distribution rights by selling a product that was identical to their own. The court compared the two products and found several similarities in terms of aesthetic aspects, while the differences were primarily related to utilitarian functionality. The court ultimately ruled in favor of Zuoshang Mingshe Company, stating that their product qualified as a work of fine art protected by copyright law and that the defendants had infringed on their copyrights.
