Abstract
St. Lucia, an island nation located in the Caribbean, is facing the challenge of strengthening its electric grid to withstand more frequent and powerful storms caused by climate change. The country's electric utility, LUCELEC, is working with POWER Engineers Inc. to identify projects that can improve grid resilience and reliability. This includes reinforcing key segments of the grid, improving maintenance programs, and enforcing guidelines for third-party attachments to utility poles. Starting with the basics, such as effective operation and maintenance plans, is crucial for ensuring the delivery of reliable electricity to consumers. [Extracted from the article]
