Abstract

The article published in the British Journal of Dermatology focuses on the clinical practices and educational interests of dermatologists in Caribbean countries. The study conducted a survey among Caribbean dermatologists to identify common conditions seen in clinical practice and educational preferences. The results showed that acne, atopic dermatitis, alopecia, keloids, and hypertrophic scars were among the most commonly encountered conditions, with a broad range of educational interests identified, including hair disease, cosmetic injectables, lasers, and complex medical dermatology. The study highlights the need for tailored educational initiatives to address specific needs in the region and emphasizes the importance of considering variations in disease distribution, healthcare accessibility, and resources across Caribbean countries.
