Abstract
A recent study conducted by the University of Costa Rica examined the mental health conditions and suicide risk among Costa Rican university students. The research found that university students are exposed to academic demands that can impact their mental health and trigger suicidal behaviors. The study included a sample of 76 university students and measured variables such as sociodemographic data, social support, depression, anxiety, and suicide risk. The findings revealed that a significant portion of the student population experienced adverse mental health conditions and suicide risk, highlighting the need for care strategies tailored to their needs.
