Abstract
This article focuses on a feasibility pilot trial of the Youth Aware of Mental Health (YAM) program conducted in Danish public schools targeting 8th and 9th-grade students. The study, based in Copenhagen, Denmark, aims to assess the program’s feasibility, acceptability, and fidelity, as well as its preliminary effects on self-reported mental health outcomes such as suicidal behavior, psychological distress, well-being, help-seeking intentions, and suicide-related stigma. The trial involves 8-10 schools with data collected at baseline, 3-month, and 6-month follow-ups, and is designed to inform future adaptations and implementation of school-based mental health strategies in Denmark.
