Abstract
Tropical Storm Beryl has formed in the central Atlantic Ocean and is expected to become the first hurricane of 2024 by Sunday, according to the US National Hurricane Center. The storm is currently located east of Barbados and is gaining strength, with winds potentially reaching 110 mph by Monday. Computer models suggest a high chance of rapid intensification, and atmospheric and oceanic conditions are favorable for strengthening. Beryl is forecasted to hit the Caribbean on Monday and may continue westward, potentially reaching Cuba by the end of next week. [Extracted from the article]
