Abstract

The article discuses about the use of maps as an integral part of early modern scholarly practices. Topics discussed include the importance of patronage, and the demand for maps, the functions of the lymphatic system, conflation of history and geography for Swedish polymath Olof Rudbeck and folk traditions with linguistics.
