Abstract
The article "Central Asia and Southeast Asia: Exploring the Dynamics of Greater Engagement" by Paradorn Rangsimaporn examines the potential for cooperation between Central Asia and Southeast Asia. Despite their differences in geography, history, and economic development, these regions share geopolitical tensions and cultural similarities. However, there are practical and abstract obstacles to cooperation, such as geographical separation, limited direct flights, and competition from more powerful players like China. Central Asia looks to Southeast Asia for lessons on governance and managing powerful neighbors, while Southeast Asia offers a model for regional association. Although there are theoretical connections, cooperation will take time to mature due to geographical constraints and the current geopolitical environment. [Extracted from the article]
