Abstract
The article discusses the impact of a pipeline spill on jet fuel supply at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, leading to additional refueling stops for some flights as the airport prepares for increased travel during the Thanksgiving holiday. Alaska Air Group Inc. anticipates that about 12 flights will require tech stops, while Delta Air Lines Inc. is also affected, using tanker trucks to transport extra fuel. The Olympic Pipeline, operated by BP Plc, has been mostly shut down since November 11, prompting Washington's governor to issue an emergency declaration to facilitate fuel transport. Despite these disruptions, United Airlines Inc. has not reported any flight issues. [Extracted from the article]
