Abstract
This article focuses on assessing architecture students' awareness of ergonomics and the prevalence of self-reported musculoskeletal pain (MSP). A cross-sectional study of 123 students at King Saud University found that most lacked prior ergonomic knowledge and did not consistently apply ergonomic practices, despite expressing positive attitudes toward ergonomics. Female students reported poorer ergonomic practices and higher rates of MSP, particularly in the shoulders, upper back, wrists, and hands. The study highlights the need for targeted educational interventions and ergonomic assessments within architecture curricula to reduce MSP and promote student well-being.
