Abstract
The article focuses on a study examining cognitive performance among older urban residents in Dodoma, Tanzania, highlighting the factors influencing cognitive impairment in this demographic. Conducted by researchers from the University of Dodoma, the study involved 435 participants and utilized the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) to evaluate cognitive performance. Findings revealed that age, education level, employment status, income, family size, alcohol consumption, and depressive symptoms significantly impacted cognitive scores, which averaged 11.9.
