Abstract
The article focuses on the impact of FTX's move to the Bahamas and its subsequent collapse on the country's aspirations to become a global FinTech hub. Initially, FTX's presence generated optimism among Bahamian entrepreneurs and tech leaders, who hoped for economic transformation and technological advancement. However, following FTX's implosion and the arrest of its CEO, many local businesses now face increased skepticism towards financial innovation, including the adoption of the SAND Dollar, the Bahamas' digital currency. Despite these challenges, some entrepreneurs remain committed to fostering a robust tech ecosystem independent of FTX's influence. [Extracted from the article]
