Abstract

This article focuses on research analyzing the international implications of the Northern Ireland peace process, specifically revisiting the lessons learned 25 years after the Good Friday Agreement. The study from Trinity College Dublin identifies three approaches to learning from peace processes—analytical-technical, political-strategic, and educative-psychological—and applies this framework to Northern Ireland, highlighting the under-researched educative-psychological approach that fosters local-to-local connections for ongoing peacebuilding. The research suggests that applying this threefold framework to other conflict settings could enhance the global understanding and dissemination of conflict resolution knowledge.
