Abstract
The article focuses on the collaboration between AMEA Power, a Dubai-based renewable energy company, and Cox Abg Group, a Spanish water and energy firm, to construct a seawater desalination plant in Angola. The project, which will cost over $200 million, aims to provide water for approximately 800,000 people and will be located on the Mussulo Peninsula near Luanda. The plant will have a total capacity of 100,000 cubic meters per day, developed in two phases of 50,000 cubic meters each. Construction is anticipated to start after technical and environmental studies are completed, with the first phase expected to be operational by the second quarter of 2028.
