Abstract

The article focuses on a January 2025 continuing education conference held in Pukalani, Hawaii, which was a collaborative event between the Alaska and Hawaii societies of radiologic technologists. The meeting featured seven speakers delivering 12 lectures on topics including health disparities in medical imaging and the impact of artificial intelligence, with notable presentations on pathology signs and the history of radium exposure. The event aimed to foster professional development in an intimate setting, encouraging participation from speakers who prefer smaller audiences. The Alaska Society of Radiologic Technologists (AKSRT) is seeking volunteers for future meetings, emphasizing the value of shared expertise within these connected societies.
