Abstract

This article examines the impact of digitizing business education on the quality of higher education in the Kingdom of Bahrain, focusing on the moderating role of international accreditation bodies such as the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), and the Association for MBAs (AMBA). Using survey data from 232 business faculty members, the study finds that learning management systems (LMS), student assessment, and student interaction significantly influence the quality of digital business education. Moreover, international accreditation bodies positively moderate this relationship by supporting higher education institutions (HEIs) in maintaining and enhancing educational quality during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The research highlights the importance of accreditation in guiding HEIs through digital transformation challenges and suggests that achieving accredited status is crucial for sustaining high-quality business education in a digitized environment.
