Abstract

TradFest, Ireland's largest traditional and folk music festival, took place in Dublin for its 19th year. The festival featured over 50 acts, workshops, talks, and kids events across 18 venues in the Temple Bar area of Dublin and the wider county of Fingal. The lineup included a diverse range of acts, from traditional Irish music to more eclectic offerings. The festival also showcased emerging performers and celebrated the vitality and legacy of Irish Traveller culture. In addition to the organized gigs, the city of Dublin offered music in its pubs, and visitors could explore the city's rich musical history and connections to famous figures like James Joyce and U2. TradFest provides a unique and special experience for those interested in traditional Irish music and culture, as well as the diversity and exhilaration of emerging global artists. The festival's 20th anniversary is already highly anticipated. [Extracted from the article]
