Abstract

Lightrock, a private equity firm backed by Liechtenstein's royal family, is expanding into publicly traded investments with a new strategy focused on global small-cap stocks. The firm plans to invest in companies with market capitalizations ranging from €500 million to €20 billion. The new fund, which has already deployed €400 million in seed money, will be benchmarked against the MSCI World Small Cap Index. LGT Group, the private banking and asset-management firm of Liechtenstein's royal family, is an anchor investor in the fund, which will also be open to third-party investors. The fund aims to invest in companies with strong balance sheets and sustainability credentials. [Extracted from the article]
