Abstract
A recent study conducted by Arabian Gulf University in Bahrain explored the relationship between social media use and body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) among citizens of Bahrain. The study found that increased social media use was associated with BDD, with specific patterns of social media use impacting this relationship. Factors such as age, marital status, and student status were also found to be associated with BDD. The research suggests the need for further investigation into the effects of social media on mental health, particularly in the context of body image perceptions and BDD. [Extracted from the article]
