Abstract

The article discusses the history of streetcar service in Edmonton, Alberta which started in 1908. Topics include the operation of a historical streetcar tour along the remains of the old Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) line from the heart of Old Strathcona by the Edmonton Radial Railway Society, the annual ridership of the streetcar service by 1929, the three types of cars in the fleet and the highlights of the streetcar ride.
