Abstract

The article discusses the author's views on the devastating effects of war and the insatiable appetite for war among those in power. The author reflects on her experiences in Baghdad in 2003 and the impact of the U.S. government's decision to go to war in Iraq, as well as the ongoing harm caused by conflicts in Gaza and other parts of the world. She argues that war is worse than a natural disaster and that those in power seldom consider the devastating consequences of their actions.
