Abstract

The article focuses on a study analyzing the content of kindergarten children's drawings in Palestine during the 2024–25 Gaza war to understand their psychological and social states. Involving 25 children from Al-Rawdah University College Kindergarten in Nablus, the study found that the drawings often lacked detail, clear lines, and realistic proportions, with frequent depictions of war-related imagery such as missiles and the Palestinian flag. Notably, female children depicted war scenes more frequently and with greater detail than males, who tended to use darker colors. The study highlights signs of emotional distress, including distorted human figures and omitted body parts, and recommends further research and the development of art-based psychological support strategies for children affected by war trauma.
