Abstract

There has been renewed interest in the development of hydrogen storage technologies. While existing research in this field primarily concentrates on solid‐state hydrogen storage materials utilizing metal‐based inorganic compounds, this particular study sought to synthesize and conduct molecular analyses of a metal‐based organic molecule for solid‐state hydrogen storage. The synthesized metal‐based organic molecule, methylene crosslinked 25,26,27,28‐tetrahydroxycalix[4]arene resin loading metallic palladium (MC‐[4]H‐Pd(0)), exhibited the presence of several significant functional groups, including phenyl rings and hydroxyl groups, as indicated by the results of FT‐IR spectra. The total mass of palladium metals loaded in MC‐[4]H‐Pd(0) was determined to be 7.61%. These outcomes provide compelling support for the continued exploration of metal‐based organic molecules as potential solid‐state hydrogen storage materials. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
