Shafag-Asiman, Karabagh and ADUA - 2026 first quarter results.

Abstract
The article focuses on recent exploration and evaluation activities in the Shafag-Asiman, Karabagh, and ADUA blocks. In Shafag-Asiman, the exploration period under the Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) was extended to June 2025, with bp as operator alongside SOCAR and TPAO, to facilitate further work including drilling into the Lower Surakhany reservoir. At the Karabagh field, Ocean Bottom Node (OBN) and High-Resolution/Ultra-High Resolution seismic surveys were conducted or initiated to improve reservoir understanding and identify geological and subsurface hazards. In the ADUA block, a 2D High-Resolution seismic survey was completed to support future well planning, with environmental impact assessments disclosed for public consultation and government-approved.
