Abstract

The article focuses on the construction of the Legacy Trail at Castle Rock's Gateway Mesa Open Space in Colorado. It highlights the collaboration between the Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation and Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC) to create a unique trail experience that connects grassland mesa to a coniferous forest. It is reported that the town had envisioned extending the trail system at Gateway Mesa for nearly 20 years.
