Abstract
The article examines the escalating risks that climate change and unnatural disasters present to population health in the Anthropocene epoch. Topics include implication of the acceleration of unnatural disasters for public health, rates of use of emergency medical services for heat-related issues among African Americans, Native Hawaiians/Pacific Islanders, the elderly, and others, and group of people that are more susceptible to mental health effects from disasters and housing insecurity.
