Abstract
ADAW asked a number of national leaders to reflect on the coming months and assess what they foresee in the treatment of alcohol use disorder (AUD), and respondents took care to cast their responses in a positive light. But given the many challenges from a scientific and societal standpoint in achieving breakthroughs in AUD treatment, a comment from Rutgers Health Department of Emergency Medicine Chair Lewis S. Nelson, M.D., may have best summarized the complexity of the task ahead. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
